Whether a specific booking can transfer depends on the hotel or OTA's name-change policy — direct hotel and many Booking.com reservations are frequently transferable, while some fully non-refundable third-party rates are not.

To sell a travel booking, create a free SpareHolidays listing with the supplier, dates, transfer rules, asking price, and redacted proof of booking. A buyer pays into Stripe escrow, then you complete the airline, hotel, voucher, rail, bus, car-rental, cruise, or package transfer through the supplier's official process. The seller is paid after the buyer confirms the booking now matches their details.

You can resell a hotel booking on SpareHolidays when the reservation allows a guest-name change or official guest substitution. The safest path is to call the hotel or booking platform before listing, confirm the name-change process and any fee, then transfer the reservation only after the buyer's payment is protected in escrow.

A non-refundable booking transfer means the original traveller does not ask for a refund; instead, they transfer a usable booking to a new traveller where the supplier permits it. On SpareHolidays the seller lists the booking, the buyer pays into escrow, the seller completes the official name change or voucher handover, and payment releases after buyer confirmation.

Reselling through an airline name change is usually the only legal way to recover money from a non-refundable ticket. On SpareHolidays you list the flight, a buyer purchases it or makes an offer, and you transfer it using the airline's name-change process. Recovery is typically 50–80% of the original price. Some airlines allow paid name changes (for example Ryanair, for a fee); others do not — check your carrier's policy first.

Payment is held in Stripe escrow and only released to the seller after the buyer confirms they received the booking. Every seller is ID-verified, every listing is AI-moderated, and there is a 7-day dispute window after completion. If the buyer doesn't confirm within 72 hours of the travel date, the payment auto-releases to the seller.

Listing is free. The buyer pays a transparent, tiered commission shown before purchase — 10% under €500, 8% up to €1,500, 6% up to €3,000, and 5% above. Sellers keep the full agreed price.
