Before you buy a booking in Spain

A resold booking is only usable once the supplier has put it in your name. The name on the reservation has to match the identity document you show at the gate or at reception, so the transfer is the step that decides whether the purchase works — not the price.

Spanish accommodation must record each guest's identity details at check-in and is responsible for those details matching the identity document shown, under Real Decreto 933/2021. A reservation still in the seller's name cannot be registered to you, so the guest change has to be finished before you arrive. Ryanair charges 115 euros or pounds per passenger to change a name online and 160 through its contact centre or an airport desk.
